Trip to L&D

So for a few days I had been feeling all sorts of pressure, and what seemed to be an increase in BH contractions. I called in more about the pressure and that it was getting harder to pee. 

They sent me to L&D. 

There they monitored me, took a pee sample, etc. The sample was almost clear yet they felt the need to give me an IV incase I was dehydrated. I should have refused that one. They also sent me for an ultrasound sound which was the only plus side. But I left with no answers and on a muscle relaxer :\ 

The next day i actually got worse cramps and more pain, but since they weren't regular I didn't bother calling in for a repeat of nothing. I am assuming my body is just preparing. So I waited it out and they went away. Saturday morning they came back, but never got to be as hard or even as frequent as the others. Sunday was almost free of anything. Some happened in the morning but mostly I felt alright aside from sciatic nerve pain. 

Today all seems normal... so perhaps it was just a hiccup. We obviously don't want baby boy coming this soon :) 

Baby Shower !

 

Ashley threw a wonderful local baby shower!! She decorated it with an awesome diaper cake! Along with some of the cutest froggie outfits! Not to mention the farro salad YUM and cake!

Then we played some crazy games, lol ;) I have to say I wouldn't think that I would have liked the diaper smelling game better than another one... but the lets stick the expecting mom's hand in GOO was not fun... okay maybe a little fun.. but still...lol :)

And ofcourse there were gifts :)  All sorts of frog things and boy things and just fun things :) Thank you again Ashley for throwing me a shower! And Thanks to Sarah for driving me! (I was still sick some and getting dizzy with sinus issues)

When I got home Emilie wanted to help me unwrap gifts :) lol. So she tore into them... She didn't always know what the items were used for however, lol...

You CAN'T Miss these Grandma!

So you hear Em's voice and then Nathan gives me a nice swift kick on the left side :) It's a little ways in around 14 seconds

This wiggle worm doesn't stop most of the evening when he's in a good position (not feet down and not behind my placenta).

In this next one same side around 9ish seconds is the hardest kick caught on camera I think :)

Emilie hasn't tried finding Nathan since he was ALOT smaller ;) Today just happened to be the first time I've thought about it... Here's the videos of it :)

First comes the gel ofcourse. We have been using Aloe Gel :) 

Then comes the serious hunting of the heartbeat :)

And her telling me we are all done now.

Once she felt/heard him move she was no longer interested in the doppler. She did pick up the heartbeat a few times but didn't leave it long enough to register anything, lol.
